SAYONARA was built to exceedingly high standards in
1956 by Paul Luke's Yard in East Boothbay, Maine and designed by the
renowned designer, K. Aage Nielsen of Denmark. These two highly
regarded firms provide no finer pedigree. SAYONARA
has had only 5 owners in her 70 years. Her present owners
purchased her in 1976 and have lovingly and carefully maintained her
to first class condition. Being knowledgeable longtime members of the
Ocean Cruising Club and CCA, their stated goal was to be the best
"stewards" of this lovely Classic, ensuring that her
structure was kept in "Bristol" condition and her equipment
was in top working order. With the outstanding care and expert help of
Rockport Marine, they have achieved their goal.
SAYONARA is considered the "Queen" of the
Rockport Marine's fleet.
SAYONARA is not only breathtakingly
beautiful, but she has proven to be offshore capable, sea
kindly, fast in "around the buoy" races, and a
comfortable cruising vessel for six, having been as far North as Cape
Breton Island and as far South as the Bahamas, as well as offshore to
Bermuda. For once, it is rare to find a vessel that deserves these
superlatives. SAYONARA has been rigged to be sailed by two,
with an electric roller furling mainsail and electric winches.

will not be disappointed, and thank you for your interest.
